Just noticed I was subscribed to both this place and 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone. I’d prefer if this community were on PieFed proper, so I thought maybe it’s a replica of this one on PieFed… but it’s not. They’re both on the same server, but the numbers are actual numbers in the url instead of being spelled out. Huh?

That doesn’t show me intentionally trying to remove it. That’s me surprised that the authorship of the cross-posting functionality was preserved.
The missing authoriship that I did was on the themes.
As soon as I realised that the author was unhappy about it (a week later), I removed the code from PieFed. Why is that not the end of the issue?
You wanted to use her work and intentionally exclude attribution. That’s textbook plagiarism, and also really petty.
Maybe you’re missing some context. Did you check the link in the screenshot? https://lemmy.world/post/46837717.
At the start of the convo I was talking about Mia making announcements on behalf of PieFed, which I thought was a really weird thing for her to do. Then I said that I didn’t realise she could be considered to be a contributor (her contributions to PieFed up till that point had been extremely minor), which MrKaplan corrected me on.
It was a pretty chill normal interaction. This taking things out of context and selectively cropping them tactic has been used by the flotilla again and again. It’s stuff like that which is why I can’t work with them https://join.piefed.social/2026/08/14/open-source-runs-on-good-faith/
If you want to stick with the “everyone else is operating in bad faith except me” narrative in your own communities, go ahead. The fact is that you broke relations with Mia first, you were the one that interpreted her behavior as bad faith, and you were the one who went out of their way to remove attribution after this conversation with MrKaplan. If anyone is operating in bad faith, it’s you.
Also, coming into week old threads to argue with some random blahaj.zone mod? Nobody is reading this; you honestly have better things to do. Posting evidence of Piefed’s trans ally features like it can excuse any criticism of you, despite the fact that none of us got mad at you for supposed bigotry in the first place? It comes across like virtue signaling, which actually makes your allyship less trustworthy.
Sorry for triggering you with my comments, but I’m not gonna hold off on being honest about my problems with you and Piefed.
There were certainly people saying “I heard rimu is a transphobe” because of shit Mia said. They won’t do that now that I’ve documented all the pro-trans things I’ve done over an extended period. If that makes Mia look bad, that’s not an attack by me that’s just Mia looking bad.
I guess we’ve reached an impasse here. Good day.
