This is not the first product ModRetro has put out. They also put an evil Game Boy out, and specifically put one out in “attack drone metal.” I hate these winking little shits. Not only are they using retro gaming to be fascists, they’re doing it in the corniest way humanly possible.
Former Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé took to X, The Everything App twice in one day to signal boost that evil dipshit’s pet project. In the spirit of Hater Week, I’d like to officially state that Reggie can go fuck himself as well.
Lmao. I did notice that the N64 dev whose article on Phoboslab you posted was getting their game published by this loser too.
It’s surprising to me to see even a retired Nintendo exec talking positively about an emulation device. Of course he only talks about one when it’s made by some techbro chud

Nintendo-funded JSDF a la PepsiCo Navy when?
I have such a visceral hatred of Palmer Lucky, he somehow feels way groser than the Reptilians. I think it’s because he does seem to have a genuine passion for gadgets, but also such an uncaring American chauvinist worldview, that he is completely uncaring about the death, misery and mayhem that his gadgets are used for. He looks at an ominous weapon of death and just thinks “wow, neato!”
He single handedly ruined NixOS for everyone when I was part of it and I fucking hate him with a passion.

The article comments are worth a read too haha
He has the same understanding of mullets as a German airport restaurant has of burritos.
lmao
Love reading this rage about the FASCIST GAME MACHINE but then see the author seemingly unironically call it “X, the Everything App”
anyone who doesn’t just keep calling it twitter deserves a swirlie
No one says “X, the Everything App” unironically except for Elon.
I always read that phrase in Liz’s voice from TrueAnon, I can’t help it.
I don’t think anyone has ever said the full name in a serious way. It is exclusively a joke about how bad and unwieldy the name is.
Calling it that just reinforces that being its name, calling it twitter is a better way to dunk on it and nobody will ever change my mind
I think it’s the opposite; It is X. Calling it twitter lets it leech of the old reputation. Whereas calling “X” with the air quotes or a rolling of the eyes lets you shit on it while distancing it from what it once was.
“The everything app” also pokes at Elon’s unfulfilled plans to turn it into an all in one super-app like WeChat or Alipay. It’s been four years with nothing to show for it.
using it ironically for 99% of people just reinforces musks attempt at changing the name
you’re doing what musk wants lol
Yes, what Musk definitely wants is people saying X while
. That’s actually the whole reason he bought it. As if being a pedophile wasn’t bad enough, he also wants us getting an RSI.this is why i say hexbears aren’t qualified to do propaganda, this sort of not getting it
Funny, I was thinking the same thing.

It was never good. The current incarnation is not meaningfully different from what it has always been.
That’s irrelevant to the discussion though. The average person I’d be having an interaction with thinks twitter was positive or at least better than X. The entire premise of Leroy’s reasoning is based on that.
It’s not irrelevant. Rather than letting it leech off the old reputation, continuing to call it twitter also serves to tarnish that old reputation. Maybe one day it’ll get tarnished enough that people will stop the futile task of trying to make “good twitter” which is fundamentally impossible.
I call it by its full name: X “Blaze Your Glory!” the Everything App (née Doge)

This is the guy who de-facto owns NixOS too btw, just in case anyone needed reminding.
This guy is the ultimate hitler nerd.
The orange site had a post about this N64 and promptly flagged all of the comments pointing out the ethical implications of buying it.
WARNING, cognitohazard ahead
I don’t know who this is or why the console is “evil”, “fascist” or “war crime” and the article isn’t helping to explain.
My thoughts exactly. It seems to just assume you already know why this guy is a bad deal.
That’s the guy??? With the mullet, soul patch and Hawaiian shirt??? Why are our aspiring tech overlords all such dweebs
