I’m in the market to get a completely fresh set of winter clothing, but what materials should I be looking for and which companies should I be buying from? I’ve heard good things about Merino wool and alpaca fur, but a lot of that stuff is mixed with synthetics. Anything completely compostable out there?

Patagonia makes good lightweight synthetic winter wear, no animal products necessary. A micro-puff and an r1 air fleece will cover you well below freezing.
