Iran’s newly appointed secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is strictly contingent upon Washington meeting Tehran’s core demands, including a complete halt to regional conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.

During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Tehran, Cong Peiwu, Rezaei emphasized that the strategic waterway will remain closed unless the United States changes its behavior and accepts Iran’s stipulated conditions, which have been communicated to Washington through intermediaries.

Rezaei reiterated that the U.S. must end its hostile policies, release frozen Iranian assets, and put an immediate end to ongoing wars across the region, specifically highlighting the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

    Very based.

At the same time, it’s hard to imagine anything being able to stop the Israeli genocide machine other than a regional war that unfurls into a global war. It seems that geopolitical contradictions continue to balloon. Anyone else worried about how these next 5 years will unfold?

Israel has an extremely strong US lobby but when it starts hitting other sectors than just foreign policy it will start clashing with other US lobbies like the farming lobby and the oil lobby.

The reason Israel has so much influence is because other lobbies don’t usually conflict much with it.

i think there is a path were economic war can affect the us fascist empire to back down, but being the blood thirsty lunatics they are, this might also cause war. the way i see it, war might be inevitable. but it can also lead to liberation, and the world cannot be sustained much more under the current governance.

Gee sure wish we had some of that alternative energy I keep hearing about. It’s almost like relying so heavily on oil is a bad idea.

So that’s why the US has been talking about such long term solutions as building more pipelines. They know we’re fucked and they have no chance of reigning in Israel.
