    Yes, physics. You don’t elect a president and suddenly all factories, supply chains, materials refining, logistics, infrastructure, and knowledge evaporate in 250 days.

      I would have thought “Manufacturing” or maybe “Industry”, but I guess those are physical.

      What was destroyed was a transition to renewables; what China’s auto industry is riding to enormous profits. What “our” car companies don’t want to make. What the administration killed incentives and budget for. The opposite of what they they promoted extensively, namely oil, gas, and coal.

        What was destroyed was machining. The US produces less than 5% of the world’s tools and machines for manufacturing. It used to be close to 30%. We hollowed out industry from the inside and now we basically do assembly.
