      In their discord one of their engineers has mentioned opt in for vehicle lifecycle telemetry (battery health, temp, draw, charge cycles, specifically said that location and even speed would be mostly useless for them so no plans to collect that). Whether that means they won’t collect it, or can’t collect it I’m not 100% sure.

        Connectivity and telemetry starts off about improving the product and ends up with subscription features and selling your behaviour.

        And I hate that because the privacy implications are significant but the utility of the data is too, in so many areas - provided it’s reviewed and used, which it frankly seldom is because politics get in the way.

        That’s disappointing to hear. I hope there’s an easy way to reversibly disconnect the data antenna while keeping every other service intact. It really sucks being constantly aware that anything you say in your own car’s cabin may no longer be private.
