What happens if a healthy person participates in an ayahuasca ceremony?
An article written by economists revealed surprising results about ayahuasca, using data that other researchers have difficulty obtaining. And this was thanks to Brazilian laws that protect the legality of the indigenous drink in a religious ritual context.
Ayahuasca is a traditional indigenous drink originating in the Amazon rainforest that eventually became popular worldwide through the expansion of churches that currently conduct thousands of ceremonies per year. The current scientific consensus is that ayahuasca carries therapeutic potential when accompanied by psychiatric support and in strictly controlled environments. In this context, we have records of improvements in cases of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
I imagine finding a happy person would be more difficult than acquiring some ayahuasca.
tl;dr: not much.
Also, why the fuck was this study being conducted by economists?
They want to market it to kids.
And I don’t think “not much” is the real thing
A trip is a trip
If I take LSD out shrooms while being happy or Aya, all will give me a good time
If I’m depressed, they can show me a different perspective and help me
Doesn’t need to be this way, but it can help - depends on your personality, feeling of the day, surroundings etc
But just saying, nothing will happen is just bullshit
DMT is a strong drug and it will do its thing
I would say that you probably should be more careful giving a psychedelic to a “happy” person, because a lot of “happy” people might be masking their true feelings, e.g.: Robin Williams.
