and is invariably harmful to those who do not hold power.

So, if I have someone who drags me into the military – into a losing battle perhaps – and harm them out of self defence, is that really all that terrible for my interests? I would say I would benefit greatly. If I got together with a bunch of soldiers who all are tired of fighting and decide with them to usurp our masters, how is that not concentrating the power, and more importantly how is that necessarily a bad thing?

If you don’t institute an egalitarian society after the revolution, you’re just replacing one authoritarian government with another. That’s certainly good for you, but when you’re in power, you’re not part of “those who do not hold power” anymore.

I think this is bullshit. This society everyone is living in is egalitarian already. No country claims to be anti-egalitarian, pretty much all, with the exception of Israel, are built on this idea of equality among citizens.

Egalitarianism in practice means same rights and duties for all, it’s not the guarantee of having your needs met. If someone does manage to get an edge in an egalitarian society, there is no stringent mechanism implied to prevent this person from accruing wealth or power from the principle of egalitarianism alone. Egalitarianism itself is too abstract.

I am not. Marxism Leninism was the state “ideology” of the USSR, I don’t subscribe to it. Call me a socialist or whatever, but ML is an outdated term. If anything I am in the weakest way kinda a Titoist (?) but I don’t at all believe in those labels, or any label even.

ML is advocating for an authoritarian government “just for a lil while bro, promise” after a revolution, before communism. Don’t try to weasel your way out of this one too, it’s super obvious and embarassing.

The problem is: the category of authoritarianism can be applied to practically everything in human society. It says nothing. You are spewing hot air and vibes.

I am not even mad I am explaining my position to you because you keep getting it wrong. I simply don’t think that Soviet solutions post 1940 were particularly smart, I don’t share Marxist-Leninist goals in that sense.
