Even better, Nyan Koi had season 2 announced at the end of season 1. That was in 2009. The manga sort of just stopped.

Sort of; the mangaka did, but on a completely different manga that predates Chihayafuru.
Yeah, looks like the copying was with Yuki’s early 2000’s manga, Flower of Eden. Chihayafuru is completely unrelated to the plagiarism accusations. The author even fessed up and apologized.
The Bleach Fullbring filler arc is a very clear ripoff of Yu Yu Hakusho’s Chapter Black. Like, undeniably.
Also it sucked.
That’s not really the same problem because you’re comparing a filler arc to main plot but it’s always worth saying because I think it’s funny to annoy uncultured (haven’t seen Yu Yu Hakusho) Bleach stans.

Worse, season 2 drops 5 years later and you never find out.
It’s crazy to me that you could watch season 1 of a show on Crunchyroll, and then Crunchyroll will pay money to license season 2 and not make any attempt to let you know about it.

New game :( a anime about a video game studio and showing the perspectives of the different roles focusing mainly on drawing and graphic design. It’s a funny silly nerdy anime with a gorgeous animation style that leaves off at the end of season 2 setting up the future for the show. Really depressing

Tenchi Muyo War on Geminar never heard from again…
Even tho they came back and finished the OG series and gave GXP another season, AND ended the OG show by leading into War on Geminar. It’s honestly criminal they never finished it.
That one really didn’t require a second season though did it? I thought it wrapped up pretty nicely.
The ending was very open ended. Like nothing was resolved other than he was like “yup I’m stuck here. Better make the best of it” and that was it.
Also it’s funny to think that War on Geminar is an isekai
I mean it’s open-ended as in it’s a happily ever after kind of thing. I wouldn’t say it’s unresolved though. The story was wrapped up.
Idk. I guess? I still felt it could have gone some where I’m future seasons, and I’m always down for a good mecha anime, and Tenchi
It’s also part of the OVA continuity, so the characters will likely show up again. Every few years, Masaki Kajishima scrounges up the cash for another entry.
