No one ever taught me this until I saw this wonderful educator. I’m sure this will be news to many.
One of my fave people on YT. This guy in Thailand is super chill with multiple cheap gardening tip videos. He’s anti-capitalist after disliking his work visa in America, and also after seeing neighbors fall for farming systems that have farmers literally dying from exhaustion in what he calls a new kind of colonialism. Frequently breaking down complicated bullshit like that into lots of simple bits of wisdom in ways a child could understand, he seems to now live a happy life he calls his heaven.
up at dawn to do my chores on the ol piss farm

I’ve been somewhat of a Jon Jandai fan since I discovered him almost a decade ago.
“Life is made artificially hard by the pressures of modern society, whereas we can satisfy ourselves with means that are in our control and that don’t leave us drained or beholden to financial instruments” is a really good thesis. The tldr of it, “Life is easy”, lends itself to being misconstrued.
Let them eat piss
No. 1 on my veggies -> ok
No. 2 on my veggies -> not ok
got it
“Pee is stored in the ground” -OOP about halfway thru the video. He specifically says that you pour it on the ground and not on the leaves, and then water it in with about twice as much water.
You can have humanure, mix it with a bit of topsoil, compost it for 6 months, and it will be okay to use as a soil amendment either dug into the soil before planting or applied to the bed once the seedlings reach a certain height. Or if you’re still squeamish about it, you can put it around fruit/nut trees. The danger is the microbes from your anus getting to your mouth or respiratory tract. But that microbial community is adapted to the large intestine, and in the soil it will be replaced by soil bacteria over time.
another happy day in urinetown
