I might be totally off base or this discourse has been discoursed already. I can’t help but notice the sheer and almost coordinated effort on social media to highlight things like male loneliness epidemic, general gender war bullshit, mAn Vs wOMaN lately.
These posts, along with the general upwards trend of minority hate, feel like they serve to ignite a sort of male chauvinism in the USA. I can’t help but feel like the whole endgame here is to groom men into the sort of ideology that would justify fighting in a future war (or hell, even just Iran).
Sorry if my writing is sloppy I did not take the time to draft this post and think about it holistically before posting…
Wildland firefighters are some of the bravest and least self serving people I know. Weather for good or ill you can’t care too much about yourself in work like that.
Some intense psychology at work there. But they are 100 the troops I salute.
