Yeah chickens are as funny as they are dumb! I was once working at a friend’s farm. She has a henhouse nearby where we were working, and the chickens were there doing chicken stuff very close to their house.

At a certain point I was digging and hoeing and stuff, minding my own business. At a certain point I felt like I was observed, I turned my head and I saw that I was surrounded by the chickens. They looked at me like “oiii mate, nice dirt you have right there! i reckon there’s plenty of earthworms to be found eeeeh?” I started laughing because those chickens all day didn’t pay attention to me not even for a second. But as soon as I moved a little bit of dirt they came running!! Not even when I fed them they ran so fast!!!

Another time one of the chickens managed to jump over the roof of their house. We don’t know how she did it. The point is that she didn’t know how to get back. We tried to help her but she was scared. We tried everything but it looked like there was no hope. In the end we had to put a little feed on the roof so that she was busy eating, and I was able to catch her and rescue her.

They are little goblins with very small brains but they are really cute and entertaining!
