    For North American English speakers who don’t get it: Imagine that Fox decided to replace the original Simpsons voice actors that you grew up with with British ones who sound nothing like them, have thick British accents, use British slang and make local references to things only the British know about in the show. For the sake of the example the decision would have been made by a panel of extremely ignorant non-English speakers who think that the viewers wouldn’t notice the difference because “it’s also English therefore it is the same”.

    That’s essentially the effect replacing the Quebec voice actors with the French ones would have had.

      I’m not gonna lie, I grew up watching the Simpsons and this just kinda sounds funny to me. I’d give it a go.

      So like every show on TV. We don’t have localized versions of any show, they all reference American or British things.
