The powder sent to both King and Spokane counties tested positive for traces of fentanyl.

30,000 ballots were put on hold. For what, them to still be counted and the offices not even fazed cause they have kickass protocols? Idiots

It’s not like this was a particularly important election here in King County either.

Wait till they find a white conservative did it.

    Then it’s no longer terrorism.

Don’t understand what these people think would be accomplished by sending the stuff in the mail like that. Touching it isn’t going to do anything. Inhaling I supposed, but it would be rather difficult to accidentally inhale it especially after being packed during mailing.

What they’re trying to accomplish is to make people afraid to get involved in administering elections unless they’re “on the right side.”

This particular effort might or might not have any effect at all. But the point is, it’s in concert with a thousand other things. And, more importantly, they’re getting practice, and learning about what works and what doesn’t and what they can get away with, and who they can trust as their allies when things get real.

        on the right side.

Will this be an ironic double standard or ironic double entendre? Dun-da-da-dun!

Oh for sure. I’m just glad they keep doing this harmless shit. But, the scary thing is that the more they escalate and see it doesn’t work, the more they will keep escalating.

High praise to all the people working the elections these days ❤️

The one good thing is that the government does not take that lying down.

Part of the reason why the Jan 6th insurrectionists have been subjected to such a dog and pony show is because they’re attempting to use the media to dissuade further domestic terrorists from engaging in domestic terrorism.

I feel like tracking down the people that send strange white powders to government offices and subjecting them to the same punishment and ridicule should also help prevent or at least minimize future occurrences as well

Yeah, 1,000%. I reached out about volunteering but I never followed through on it. I should call again and try to volunteer for the next one.

They actually don’t use volunteers here. They pay people to do the work. I asked Julie Wise about this at a town hall once. You can go observe, though.

Watching too many cop shows maybe (stuff like blue bloods). They usually treat fentanyl as something you will die from if you touch it for even one second.

Oh, LAWD, I can’t wait to see the inevitable outcome when they raid the trailer of the shit-stain who did this, and it’s a White Nationalist.

I hope he pulls a gun so they shoot him 50 times.

I hope he doesn’t pull a gun, gets arrested, and police gets a chance to investigate this dude’s associates and round up the whole chat group. Maybe he’ll be sentenced to a restorative prison system where he gets deradicalised, realizes the error of his ways, supplies info to help stop shit like this in the future, and becomes a spokesperson for deescalation training and restorative justice reform.

That’s the kind of thing I want for common criminals. When it comes to terrorists, I just want them locked up forever, and if I trusted the government to always catch the right person, I’d want a much worse fate for them.

        deradicalised,

        You can’t “deradicalize” a right-winger - right-wing ideology is anti-radical.

Oooh, fentanyl… that thing that makes pigs (but nobody else) mysteriously fall over whenever they happen to be in the same time zone as a milligram of it?
