Hello everyone.
I am an android user myself, currently using a Google Pixel 7. Not perfect, has several issues but still does the job for the price.
My a week ago my gf wanted to buy a new phone. She had problems with different android phones in the past so I advice her to buy an iPhone for its stability and overall great camera performance.
We got my girlfriend an iPhone 15 Pro. Her first iPhone, she loved the experience for a few hours.
A couple of hours after taking brand new phone out of its box, Face ID stops working, it says Face ID is not available.
I google, I read reddit and apple forums, even YouTube and watch videos. Everyone says the same things;
- Clear the camera (its a brand new phone)
- Hard reset the phone
- Delete Face ID and add it again.
She hard reset her phone more than 10 times within 7 days she used the phone. Always works for a few hours after the reset and then stops working again.
Apple is useless as fuck when it comes to this issue, I have seen a hundred different posts on the forums, telling people to do the same thing over and over.
At this point I believe this is a hardware issue not a software, but I could be wrong since it works for a few hours and then stops working each time.
So here I am for your opinions/experience. If any of you have had the same issue and fixed it in a different that we have not tried, could you please let us know?
This happened to mine and I replaced it. 😕
You have to take it in and demand a free replacement. That’s the only option with iPhones
u ugly?
Mate, you have an apple now not an android. Take it back to apple and get them to sort it out. This is why you pay a premium.
If it’s a hard ware issue they will give you another one on the spot. If it’s a new phone push for a new replacement phone not a RE-ferb, new phones have 24m warranty v 12 months.
Why bother writing a post here while you could already have your new replacement phone in hand when you went back to the store immediately.
If they’re asking $1500 for a new phone you bet your ass I will constantly nag customer support until its 100% to my liking/quality standards.
Why did you go wrong with the pixel!? It’s a good phone 😕
Apple is really good with issues like this, just take it to the Apple Store and they will fix it as quickly as possible, and won’t cost you a dime.
If you’ve done the factory resets, including reset all settings and restore, then I’d be taking it straight back.
This is most likely a hardware issue or a damaged part unfortunately. Repair seems to be the only option.
Think the front screen is broken
Take it into a physical Apple Store. They’ll swap it with a new phone while you’re there for free.
Use an iPhone 8 Plus with touchID like me 😃
Literally why I switched to Apple was the ability to quickly and easily just switch over faulty products for new versions, No fuss.
When the iPhone X came out 6 years ago, I got it in the mail on launch day. The day after I had it, I had the same issue. So I had to get a replacement and everything was okay.
Manufacturer defect. You need a whole new phone. Warranty should replace it no problem. Make sure to back it up before replacing. And then restore your new iPhone with the back up. It’ll make it a 1:1 copy.
Apple service is superb. Just make an appointment at your nearest Apple Store or service Center. They will either fix it or replace it.
