I hope that once… Just once Democrats ran a candidate they supported the way Republicans fall in line.

I mean I’d campaign the shit out of someone like Bernie, AOC, or Warren.

They got me to go to my first rallies. I’m not represented in any poll, and I think there are many across the millennial and zoomer generation in this position. The 2022 midterms speaks to this.

For once, let us please stop watering down factual, moral policy to cater to ignorance on the other side. Let’s inspire our own and watch as voter-enthusiasm fans the flames of grass roots mobilization, which in turn inspires others to jump onboard. I know it’s not a perfect example, but Obama’s 2008 campaign exemplified the power of this.

The conservative mind is obsessed with hierarchy and conformity. They fall in line behind authoritarians because that’s the very core of their ideology.

They spout lines about freedom, but the only freedom they’re interested in, is the freedom to force others to obey. They fall in line via their very nature.

The left, in general, does not have these hierarchical impulses. The left is all about personal freedom to be who and what you want, while folding into society at large.

This means that the left is often extremely disorganized.

This is often not helped by the authoritarians working to inject chaos into, or stamp down on, left wing organizations.

This would require corporatists within the Democrats to allow a true leftist to get through the convention process, and I think that just won’t happen. Hence left loses ground and right gains, year over year.

I vote Not Trump because I don’t want to see Americans rounded up and put in camps.

It’s not a fucking lifestyle choice.

That wasn’t the point. I was referring to the comment above mentioning a lack of inspirational candidates to vote for, that we’re only voting for Not Trump, which I 100% agree with doing. I don’t want Trump either for the reason you stated and 100000 more, but I wish we had someone to vote for not simply voting against someone else every time.

Yeah, I mean, it seems like Biden has done a lot of good stuff for the economy, but he can’t reverse 40 years of Reaganomics (practiced by Dems and Reps alike).
