Vladimir Putin would prefer an American leader who understands the ‘importance of dialogue,’ Kremlin spokesman says.

Russian President Vladimir Putin would prefer an American president who is “more constructive” toward Russia and understands the “importance of the dialogue” between the two countries, the Kremlin said on Friday.

Asked whether Putin could work with the Republican front-runner in the U.S. election, former President Donald Trump, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told broadcaster NBC News that the Russian leader would be ready to work with “anyone who will understand that from now on, you have to be more careful with Russia and you have to take into account its concerns.”

Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, relations between the West and Moscow have deteriorated, with Washington and its allies imposing wide-ranging sanctions on individuals and entities having links with Moscow regime.

You do realize that it was Trump’s administration (of course not him personally) that helped to arm Ukraines forces after Minsk2? I’m still baffled by this to this date and I don’t hope we ever see him again as president, but yeah his administration was partially responsible that the Ukrainian forces could defend themselves against the Russian invaders because of military equipment, advisors and exchange of knowledge.

So I’m not so sure if Putin wants his administration back at this very point in the war.

Not sure why you’d describe it that way. Trump tried to extort Ukraine to lie about Biden in exchange for weapons (and was impeached for it), then grudgingly did what Congress had already approved.

Even a broken (analog) clock can be right twice a day (to mis-quate a trite phrase).

I wonder (as I don’t know) how much Traitor’s administration did shit around it’s back, or what Putin’s Fleshlight’s motivation was for arming Ukraine.
