What games are you playing, Lemmy? Board, video, or mobile - what have you been doing and should we play it too?
I picked up Divinity Original Sin 2 in the Steam summer sale.
I’m not that far in but I am enjoying it.
If you like D&D, Diablo, Baldur’s Gate you’ll like this.
Larian Studios who developed Divinity also also developed Baldur’s Gate 3.
This and Disco Elysium were top of my list for the sale. I bought Disco and I’m loving it, but Divinity is still calling to me.
Disco Elysium is so good! I wish I could remove it from my brain and play it fresh again!
I can’t believe how hooked I am on No man’s sky after trying it recently!
I’ll also be playing NMS. 250 hours and counting…
I’ve had no time for any video game playing recently. Looking forward to Return to Monkey Island being released on mobile at the end of the month, should give me an opportunity to play it.
Board game (well, board game adjacent), we bought Block Party, which is a bit like Pictionary but making pixel art with tiny wooden cubes. Its pretty fun.
The Curse of Monkey Island was such an excellent game. Really recommend it if you have not played it yet.
I have a tattoo of Murray on my leg, I like Curse 😀. The first two are really good too.
Nice! I’ve got a picture of El Pollo Diablo hanging in the kitchen.
Not the Devil Chicken, nooo! sounds awesome
My Mum loved Monkey Island back in the day so I’ll be keeping my eye out for this so I can get her on it on her iPad

I’ve been playing a bit of Starship Troopers too and yeah, it’s “all right” and has potential to be great.

Diablo 4 mostly but A Night in the Woods and Disco Elysium when I want a change of pace. Night for laid back, quirky storytelling, Disco for cool and intricate infinity engine-style bedlam.

Stellaris with the New Civilisations mod, mostly. Currently playing as the Dominion. Just declared war on the Borg before I turned in last night. Very fun.
Other than that, a little bit of Dying Light 2 for that zombie decapitation satisfaction.
Another Stellaris fan here!
Still working my way through Hogwarts Legacy, although getting a bit bored now.
I thought I was the only one getting bored with Hogwarts, glad I’m not alone!
Diablo 4 for the next couple of years. Will take a small break for Forza, Starfield and Spider-Man 2.
Still Bloodborne. Still getting my ass handed to me. Only now I’m doing it a slightly further point in the story.
Progress!!
Playing a bit of Mount and Blade bannerlord untill Jagged Alliance 3 releases at the end of the week
Still Horizon on the Steamdeck, although Arcade Paradise has started creeping in now it’s on Gamepass. Got to get that laundry done…
Bought battlebits remastered, got my arse handed to me and turned it off
Been eyeing this up after my favourite podcast recommended it. Any idea how it runs on Steamdeck?
No idea, can’t see it having an issue, not sure if personality wanna play any kind of competitive fps on the deck though, you would get ruined
I’m going to get ruined regardless, at least I’ll be able to do it whilst I’m on the toilet now.
Fair point ha
Wanderhome table top roleplaying game.
Patchwork board game.
Fun, worth trying if you like either forms of game!
Cataclysm, dark days ahead, and phasmophobia with friends.
We went through a phase a while back of playing games “together” which meant one person controlling and both of us deciding where to go / what to do. Works really well for slower-paced and more explorey games (Outer Wilds being the pinnacle, go play Outer Wilds).
Anyway we tried to do this with a game called Heaven’s Vault, but other half wasn’t enjoying it so we stopped. I’ve just picked it back up again and decided to play through it myself, and it’s so odd and unique I figured it’s worth a mention.
It’s a sort of sci-fi archaeology narrative puzzle game where you explore and translate a language to piece together the story. How everything plays out depends on your choices, and I’ve just gone through a sequence in which, from what my little robot buddy told me, I appear to have made a very rare decision indeed so we’ll see how that works out.
The controls are awful and sometimes it feels like the game is just playing itself while you watch, but the language puzzles are compelling and the world-building is fantastic, I’m really looking forward to getting further into it and answering some questions!
