So far it’s rating well enough that I haven’t cancelled AppleTV after the price rise.
I’ll be cancelling as soon as the seasons finished, just haven’t yet.

I just watched episode 3 of monarch and it was crispy, so not a universal problem.
My 8bitdo controllers work with AppleTV and switch.
In photos hit the little 3 dot circle and then “hide”
I put my questionables in the faceID locked private folder
Yep I’ve got tailscale set up to Netflix share between houses
As an ADHD person I view subscriptions as either a forever thing or a never thing, because it’s guaranteed I’ll forget and pay longer. Just ask my Optimus prime or Matthew McConaughey bed time stories from Calm I absolutely never use, but got a free year from work which auto renewed (thankfully about to expire and cancelled).
I also have a 16tb file server kind of not doing much because HP were giving these things away when they split with HPE, so it’s not like file storage or the resources to run an endpoint are a problem.
I’m seeing if there’s any shows I neeed to wrap up before the price increase. Definitely cancelling. Shame because it looks like a lot of good new content is coming out November and January.
Might have to pirate some.
I’ve never had a cable TV package and steering subscription into being cable TV’s replacement isn’t going to change that.
Front ends like Xbox cloud gaming - Samsung have it so it’s not Microsoft gatekeeping it.
Realistically the best game I played when I had 6 months of arcade was a Zelda windwaker knock off, and I’d rather have just played windwaker.
I just use HDMI CEC and my inputs switch themselves except for the odd occasion I want to use something like the NES mini.
Studio display would be a giant waste of money on an AppleTV. You want a TV with HDMI CEC.
If you want to go a monitor I’d suggest one of those TV operating system monitors might essentially be TV’s without a terrestrial tuner.
