I think societal pressure also contributes. Not as common today but it’s definitely still a thing.

I am familiar with the term. However they are usually for religious reasons. The notion that one must marry due to pregnancy is arbitrary.

I’ll never understand the assertion that it’s normal for married people to not get along with their spouse or their spouse isn’t their best friend. What exactly do people think the point of marriage is beyond religious reasons?

Then I guess you’re just choosing to ignore other countries which actually hold their police force to higher standards. You know, requiring actual training and holding officers accountable for their actions. Or are we strictly talking about the US here?

This is the dumbest and most immature thing I have seen in a while. While I don’t supporting generalizing an entire nation like this, if you’re going to mock the US then at least do it properly. How are people supposed to react to this? “Ha ha! Drug addicts are so stupid!”? Not to mention that of all the things you could criticize the US for, fent addicts are not the most pressing issue.

Kindness to those who genuinely deserve it is a good thing. Just don’t allow your kindness to make you naive
