You are based and right. If someone needs a car, which might be, the focus should be on changing their situation as fast as possible so they don’t need it.

I see very few valid exceptions - transporting infirm, people with disabilities etc. In most of those cases, there should still be a focus on how to minimize or substitute car use as much as possible

I think you are missing the point. My guess is that this will not create story, but they will try to integrate it with their upcoming VTT. Imagine you as the DM describe what you want and the tool prepares everything, with monsters, terrain and the whole lot. I am pretty sure that will be the angle they take.

Of course… It can only prepare from the database of premium materials you have to painfully buy bit for bit

I think that’s just experience. You grow old, you read and you get used to things. You start to accept them as the norm.

I can dig the return to the roots of stories you’ve heard. Looking at the myths beneath the fantasy adaptations, and in turn the adaptations of those myths. Glorantha is a great example, and i think stuff like gilgamesh and Cid and the odyssey is magic in its own right. These stories are very visceral and feel deep with age.

BUT we don’t have to discard the stories we make up, experience and bad eon other deeper things with stronger meaning. Glorantha is every bit as valid as the myths that have spawned it, imo. If a story is cherished and brings emotion and wonder and karthasis and stuff (what a story should bring is a question for the poetics lol) to a person’s life, it fulfills it’s purpose

I liked the magic system. I made like a haunted ghost spirit to keep the place we were going to raid up at night, just coming through the ceiling and bleating in the night. It gave me just enough guidance to be really fun for me while seeming super free form as the shaman (I think)

Finding players for the stuff I run, yes. Finding anyone else that invites you to play a game that is not 5e is unreasonably hard.

Here in Germany you can get black eye groups too, and sometimes cthulu, but those are the main ones

I played starforged, I think that’s the same in space. Been meaning to read and run it ever since but you know how it is…

Especially the solo play the intrigues me.
