Idk if anybody is going to see this, but I want to point out 2 things.

First, I wasn’t advocating to legally mandate helmets for cyclists. I am an experienced cyclist, I have personally been rendered more safe and less injured by my helmet use, and I am personally urging all hexbears to wear a helmet because your brains are (mostly) good and I would hate for any of you to get Fetterman’d by a car or freak accident.

Second, there are a ton of safety features that are mandated by law for cars. Do I think drivers should wear helmets? Idk, do car safety studies say that would actually make people more safe? If so, sure. If not, seems pointless (altho, I am generally not opposed to humiliating drivers). In any case, I’m not saying it should be required by law (exactly the same as for helmets).

I wish this had been a bit. Wearing a helmet isn’t some crazy burden. It affects nobody but yourself. Obviously, make your own choices. But you can’t seriously think “if cars don’t have to, why do I?” is a meaningful argument here…

Seriously tho, everybody should wear a helmet. I also commute every day. Never been hit by a car (on my commute), but did have a freaky mechanical failure that sent me over the handle bars. Hit the ground head first and left a huge dent in my helmet. Had a mild concussion still, but if I hadn’t been wearing the helmet, idk if I would be able to string together full sentences today.

You can usually just Google the state you’re in and “affidavit form” and it’ll come up with the little magic language you start and end with. It’s usually like “on this day, _______, being over 18 years old and of sound mind did declare _________” and then it ends with “Further affiant sayeth not”

Affidavits sometimes need to be notarized. Some states allow for unsworn statements which don’t need a notary, but can be used for most of the same purposes.

I am glad it works for you. My comment was dumb. I had bad experiences with Concerta and focalin, but the adderall I’ve bought on the street has been super helpful in my career (even the weird pressed stuff) and I probably should have just gotten a prescription and taken it regularly instead of sporadically.

You and MouthyHooker are totally right. I feel bad for shooting my mouth off on a topic where folks are being much more meaningful with their comments. I had been prescribed a lot of meds that made me feel shitty when the stuff I bought off the street and dosed myself was actually very helpful in getting through school and starting/managing my career. (I know this is not a good idea.)

If I were making a better comment I’d say that Concerta was a weird drug that made me super suicidal, but that might have been a weird side effect/rare case.

What’s up with the weird breakfast scene between Audrey and Cooper in e4 or somewhere around there? Is Cooper too accepting of Audrey’s advances? Is he just playing the right angles for the case?
