I thought the drop was due to the air friction melting the band off due to running excessively fast.

Interesting, I plugged in this morning: my normal 30 min charge at 6:30am I pulled it off the charger, and it just now went down to 99% some 3.5 hours later.
MacRumors… Is that a McDonald’s menu update site?
