The English language does not deserve this level of respect. I mostly work with people who speak English as a second, third or fourth language and our communications contain 5000 grammatical mistakes a day, shock horror we understand each other just fine.

I always thought one of the main selling points of the borderlands series was because of its art style it could look good and run well on lower end hardware. I played a bunch with people who didn’t normally play pc games or even just had a laptop cos it was a great first looter shooter anyone could play.

I take Kendrick’s early music as insights into his experience growing up as a Black American in LA, the record industry, and the social issues of that time period. His later music being his more personal opinions that I agree / disagree with to different extents.

I find it useful to see almost every issue he talks about as a direct result of settler colonialism, and see how they relate to other ongoing settler projects in the world today, instead of demanding an artist who typically speaks from positions of authority and experience suddenly becomes outspoken on Palestine.
