I see everything I get from humans as only a bonus, and I try to avoid buying anything from humans if it can be helped. Meaning, if I grow food, or have stored food, I prefer to eat that first. If my device works, I will keep it on life support until it is a brick. If I do have to buy something new, I buy the highest quality possible. I kill debt as soon as I can, prioritizing it over food, luxuries, even healthcare and hygiene rn.

Who wants to get rapped, left to die in a pig pen while being tortured, and/or executed on the streets because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the ICE agent felt like murdering someone.
