While the president has stood strongly behind Israel since Hamas attacked, he said on “60 Minutes” that a new occupation of Gaza would “be a big mistake.”
That’s assuming it’s a mistake and not the desired outcome. They prop up terrorists, then get to use the excuse of countering terrorism to take over the rest of the territory and commit a genocide.
That was literally 40+ years ago. Situation was vastly different.
However, Israel should have known that helping to create a radical organization may bring issues in the future. So yes, it’s their mistake.
