I think primarily because he won South Carolina in 2020 and the voting process is a long drawn out horse race where people will recalibrate their votes depending on who’s winning, instead of just having them all at once which would prevent certain states from having an outsized presence.
But it’s not like Marianne Williamson or Dean Phillips were gonna win out over Brandon. The Dem primary for this cycle is purely ceremonial, so why change how it’s being run?
