What the hell is going on in Nigeria?
The Igbo, one of the larger ethnic groups, have a “lost tribe” mythology with some apocalyptic Christian philosemitism thrown in. I think some have even converted to Judaism.
Nigeria has some weirdly strong bilateral ties with Israel due to significant Israeli investment in the 1960s up until ties were severed due to the Yom Kippur war.
I assume because of Boko Haram they’re Islamophobic? I’ve seen a few Nigerians on r/Africa be pro israel because Hamas is “Jihadists”
