- I’ve got a bad feeling about this. - Ditto.

- massdrop has been turning to garbage since they got in bed with amazon. - Yeah I don’t see this as a huge loss, and honestly it could be worse. Corsair might not ruin them, let’s watch and see 🤷
- They went downhill for me when they started doing their own products. While I’m sure it was better for them to focus I found the site more useful when it had more variety than just keyboards and headphones.

- Corsair intends to keep Drop as a separate brand within the company - I’ll give that about 6 months before they “have to merge” and the layoffs begin.
- Line goes up kills another one.
- Drop has kinda gone to shit anyways. Though I have gotten some good headphones off them. But I ordered a set of wood IEM’s back in January. Got and update like a month later that the supply chain got messed up, will ship in June. Current order status is “Reserved for shipment. Estimated ship date: July 10”. So like a week ago. And all the emails from them lately have been - “Check out these amazing keycaps!11!1!” - “Hey look, we got more keycaps!!!” - “Limited time only super-special keycaps!” - “Hey, you looking for some keycaps?!” - It’s not what it used to be, just like everything else on the internet.
- Drop was awesome for custom keyboards, cool audiophile shit, and just random bespoke cool shit - So absolutely no overlap with Corsair. I don’t like this at all.
- RIP Drop. I do not have a good feeling about this acquisition. Same thing with Logitech 86ing the Blue brand name.
- Doesn’t really seem like Corsair’s market - absurdly bespoke stuff.
