Hate to rain on your parade, but it’s not like they missed a Shift for a magical language-switch-while-pressed. Mistyping it that way is non-trivial because default language switching is non-trivial.

But it’s true tho. You need to do Super+Space or Alt+Shift to switch languages. On mobile you either swipe on the space key to switch the layout or you have a dedicated language change button.

Two different layouts are not on the same map, so input modifiers like level-2 and level-3 can’t magically change a Latin keyboard into a Cyrillic

I’ve spent all of my life using multiple layouts مثل این

I have Greek (for math) and Japanese (because I periodically get depressed that I’m mono-lingual, and get convinced I can learn it “this time”) keyboards installed on my phone, and that’s how I access them as well. My guess is that there there are some ways to switch languages that make it easier to make a mistake, but I can’t say for sure since I don’t have a whole lot of knowledge on the subject.

Sure if you ignore the fact that very few regions use the cyrillic alphabet. Mistyping like that is a good bit harder, hell me typing out þe þorn takes a bit of effort on my phone.
