We overproduce by a huge margin just to „give people work“ which they dont actually need. If we stopped producing shit that is not necessary, just a tiny fraction of humanity would need to work for everyone to have food.

In so many instances employee owned does not mean what it says. It can be as little as each employee getting one nonvoting share.
