Honestly, flight attendants should claw as much as they can.

I don’t think they get paid until the cabin doors close, right? So all the work they do leading up to the plane taking off, that’s free work.

    It’s such a rip off.

One of those things that’s like “that can’t possibly be legal right?”, then you remember, we’re in America. Land of the “free” some terms and restrictions may apply

The freedom to ripped off by your employer is a cherished freedom in these parts. Right up there with your freedom to be massacred at school and the freedom to file bankruptcy due to medical debt.

“Right to work” was one of those moments I realized how corrupt America is. Something that sounds so positive, even Europeans have been confused by it. “You have the right to work. You get to work, and you should say thank you for that. We also have the right to fire you for any reason, because if you get to work then we get to fire you”

Fired for any reason is “at will employment” you can leave for any reason but also we can fire you for anything that isn’t protected.

“Right to work” is even worse than that, it means that you get all the benefits the union faught and clawed for without having to pay dues. As in you have a “right to work” without any pesky interference between you as an individual and the multimillion dollar company

And they really do mean any. They just won’t always say the real reason out loud.
