I don’t really get going to political rallies at all, but what kind of losers with nothing better to do go to a political rally of your opponent.

It’s an attempt to intimidate or even start a fight. You know, like brownshirts.

I actually love the fact that stadiums full of people go to political rallies and get jazzed about policy speeches. It’s strange, right? But I’m glad it’s something we get collectively psyched about. In a democracy, it (usually) feels healthy.

When you phrase it that way it does sound good. I’m not the most statist girl you’ll meet, but I’m very pro civic duty, and caring is the least you can do.

Problem is, there is no exit strategy.

Apparently at a few of his rallies attendees have been stuck without buses. He doesn’t care what happens after

Also, he doesn’t pay his bills for the rallies apparently either to the city

Who needs it right? Let’s go harass political opponents, jail journalists we don’t like, have people executed on our birthdays like they do in Russia - there is no democracy in a 2 party system anyway, why keep appearances. Let’s go full fascist, that will show how we are better than the other fascists.

Of course using your voice to shout down literal fascists is the same as gaoling journalists and executing people as birthday presents . . .

              Intolerance cannot be tolerated.

It’s not the same, it’s in the same direction. If you want to defeat somebody you must make sure you remain better than them, otherwise they may as well win.

I agree with you, I don’t want to tolerate them. Cool. There are still rules.

What do you hate them for exactly?

Speaking for me, I hate Trump because he is a bona fide fascist and some of his supporters are nothing short of brown shirts, and these people are not outcasts in their movement, they are welcomed and praised.

Now i hear your wonderful idea: let’s behave like brown shirts as well, that will show them. If we behave like fascists then maybe we can prevent the others who behave like fascists from taking power! I don’t want any fascists in power, left or right leaning.

Let’s not tolerate those motherfuckers. Let’s hold them accountable, jail that orange piece of shit for the treason he is guilty of, jail the jansixers and send them to break rocks, make those responsible of fascism pay for it. I have no use for more fascists.

That’s an invitation to the general public (including conservatives) to attend (could be online) a Trump rally to see for themselves. It wasn’t an order to go to the opponent (and heckle them).

        It’s gigantic difference.

I went to a Bernie rally in college with a friend and my mom. Despite that description it was actually a lot of fun, but it was bernie in 2016 and hope hadn’t yet died.
