I’m more of a “huh it’s july, where have all the annoying bugs gone” kinda guy
Usually around this time of year we would have had our first snow, but we haven’t even had our first frost yet. It’s been like this for over a decade now.
I know climate change has much, much worse consequences, but the fact that people are ignoring these very obvious signs happening right in their own cities worries me a bit.

same here in southern Ohio
we used to reliably have frost in late September and early October and snow in October. there was a year when I was a kid when we got a few inches the first weekend of October! I remember it clearly because of a festival it ruined.
Where I’m at, it would rain and snow this time of year when I was little in the 90s. We’re almost in November and it’s rained maaaybe half a dozen times since August? It’s also still 70~90° weather.
Totally normal to have what used to be a summer climate during Halloween.
Precipitation is modelled to go up a lot almost everywhere, but with significantly higher variability (i.e.: drought to floods)
In the south right now you gotta dress like it’s July during the day and deal with all the bugs and then freeze to death during the night and deal with all the bugs.

after being attacked by hornets a couple years ago while mowing, I’ve got actual PTSD 😞
those fuckers were around past thanksgiving last year and they probably will be again this year
ticks are fucking thick right now too
Don’t worry brother we’re taking care of those pesky bugs
(Just kidding, there will be more mosquitos as the planet gets hotter and wetter)
I like how long box elder bugs stick around. They’re friendly bugs.
