President Donald Trump says he’d like to see Arab nations increase the number of Palestinian refugees they are accepting from the Gaza Strip — potentially moving out enough of the population to “clean out” the area to create a virtual clean slate.
…
“Something has to happen,” Trump said. “But it’s literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything’s demolished, and people are dying there.” He added: “So, I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations, and build housing in a different location, where they can maybe live in peace for a change.”
Not necessarily. I have family members who are active in supporting Palestine, and they have been systematically harassed by pro-Likud groups. This has included offensive phone calls and emails to their employers, poison-pen messages sent to their university administration calling them antisemitic, people coming to their house to harangue them as they go out the door, and other interference. So far, at least there’s been no violence or vandalism, though the one who’s most active is also a hard target. It’s nerve-wracking, and I can easily see the case for maintaining anonymity when that sort of shit is happening.
Yes necessarily. There is literally no way for us to find out who that person is. No way at all.
