There’s a single-digit number of exceptions to this next statement but: Democratic Politicians, as a category of humans, are categorically useless in terms of reacting to anything outside of the imbecilic political kabuki game they’ve been playing and losing for decades, and entirely feckless at standing up to power. That’s what the “rational side” of our political establishment has become. I so fucking hate the two-party system.
The single digits ones are under the Democratic Party banner (because two system rules the land) but are far more progressive and often looked upon by the rest as being too loud or disruptive. The real “left”. It will take far more than a few politicians to do anything now, it’s up to the people.
