Basically an alternative to this:

I’ve always hated buds, but also can’t wear standard over ear headphones when riding a bike with a helmet on. They’re also useful in the winter.

Looking specifically for clip on over ear headphones. Wired or wireless, although wireless would be preferred. So far the only ones I’ve ever found are cheap ones on Alibaba that will shock you in the winter (and break easily) and these Koss ones that have been really good quality, but are American.

At least their not earbuds, and they do seem to be really nice. I’m going to seriously consider these unless another contender comes up that’s more similar to what I’m looking for

Oh! These are different, but I’ve always been curious what bone conduction headphones are like. I’ve seen other bone conduction headphones too - I think it’s like them for running especially, but don’t know about the gym since they play their own music there too.

What’s it like using them? Is it kind of like hearing a speaker?

Yeah I thought they were good, although I’m no audiophile but they sounded good to me. The only minor issue I had were initially fitting them over my ears (I have small ears!)

I don’t own any but my brother does and he swears by them when he’s running or on the bike because he can still hear the rest of the world. He has a different set of earphones for when he is focussing or working or in his car (never heard of anyone doing that, but he prefers it so yeah).

Yeah that’s exactly why I’m interested in them! There’s situations where I want to do listen to my surroundings

His are made by Shokz, had to look it up online for the spelling, and they’re apparently Japanese. Maybe there is also something similar that is European, but he has ran marathons and I believe he usually wears them his entire run. It’s not something we talk about that often but I remember he told me just after got them he was really happy with them because the wired in-ears he had stayed in place only until his ears got sweaty. I think he spend about €100 on them or something. I don’t think this can beat a similarly priced headphone that is over- or on ear when it comes to the audio quality and immersion to be fair, also no microphone if I remember correctly.

Yes, but I already have really good wired ones (and don’t like buds). I’ve had bad luck with Sennheiser in the past - I initially got them because they were one of the few with built in wired mic, but no sound came out of the right side. When they gave me a replacement, there was instead a severe crackling issue.

That’s actually how I ended up getting the Koss.
