They went to actual Stormfront, which got raided by 4chan, which caused Stormfront to raid them back, then some of the nazis discovered a new website with more traffic that would let them post anonymously.
Yeah my point was that shit started way earlier than most people realize. The early internet was full of the absolute worst shit.

Lowtax started Something Awful to host his “in character as Cranky Steve” mean reviews of bad Quake 2 custom maps, Moot created 4chan because he didn’t like the moderation of the anime subfourm on Something Awful, the smear article about Zoe Quinn making it to 4chan started gamergate, and I think everyone here is terminally online enough to take it from there.
