As reported by lemm.ee’s staff team at !meta@lemm.ee, the instance will be shut down by the end of this month and that means communities along with it, including !ask@lemm.ee.
It’s been nice to have you all in this community. Farewell.
I’ve got to say, a lot of the more negative interactions I’ve had have been at lem.ee, so I’m not really that sad about it.


Is there a reason why they are shutting down? I mean good riddance and all but just curious.
admin burnout from running a general lemmy instance they said, which makes sense since ee attracted the second most redditors from the migration
So, instead of shutting it down, why not just elect a new admin?
they should do that honestly, and i think they should make @Alaskaball@hexbear.net an admin too https://hexbear.net/comment/5830180
