I read the conquest of bread a few months ago, and I do want to read more anarchist literature, but I’m torn between what specifically to read. Fields, Factories, and Workshops seems like a good read, and apparently the ego and his own is a good read about cynicism, and through it anarchism. I wanna know what y’all think are good reads.
Reform or Revolution? by Rosa Luxembourg is a good couple of essays
I had a couple leftypol anarchist reading guides somewhere, let me see if I can find them
‘Seeing like a state’, for nonfiction
‘Walkaway’ for practical fiction.
my partner keeps recommending a modern anarchism to me. it’s a newer book series, attempting a scientific synthesis of multiple anarchist streams as well as to transport them to the 21st century. i started reading it myself yesterday and ofc i havent gotten very far into it yet, but conceptionally i think it has great potential.
To add, are there any anarchocommunist books on how eg. juridical systems etc. would work, how a further seizing of power would be prevented, etc.?
Honestly, Against The Day, life is too short for non-fiction to take up your brain : P
