Ministers have signed a charter on behalf of the Civil Service committing to best practice for supporting civil servants diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Can’t just let a dying person go home and die in peace. Let’s extract every bit of capitalist value we can from them first.
The world is creeping closer and closer to actual slavery for the masses. I remember a while ago they invented robots that could be controlled with your eyes or mind, and paralysed people in hospital beds were to operate them so they could continue to work. Everyone was like “Oh how lovely, paralysed people still get to work!” I was thinking how evil and dystopian, you can’t even be paralysed in a hospital bed without having to work. Of course people used the same excuses then that someone in this thread is using now “It’s to benefit the disabled person, they want to work, etc.” Well what happens when all this becomes normalised - there will be no more choice. You can be dying or paralysed and people will say “That’s no excuse - other dying and paralysed people manage to keep working, so get back to work!”
I swear to god this is true and not some dark irony-poisoned satire…
…they’re proudly promoting this with the hashtag #DyingToWork
