I work with a lib for whom I trotted everything out to explain what led to the war, but he was still ‘Putler bad’; even though I gave him context, it took him talking to people he personally trusts to finally come around. He admitted that what I’d said had put doubts in him, but he’d even been willing to say that people in Donbas (all of them) should’ve just left, and that what Ukraine was doing to them was fine because ‘well were they protesting maybe? Causing riots?’. If these people aren’t hearing it from people they personally trust, then evidence, historical context, facts, etc will do nothing.
Unless Kamala or Biden come out and say exactly all this, libs are not changing their minds; perhaps if the news would also report all this as well rather than pretend Russia just attacked Ukraine out of the blue for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
