Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Leaves for China
Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) – Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, left here for Beijing by his private train on September 1 to participate in celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Kim Chon Il, director of the Department of Press and Information of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, said.
He noted that the head of state is accompanied by senior officials of the Party and government including DPRK Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui. -0-

I have to imagine a US base in Occupied Korea or Japan would love to stage an “accident” and claim they thought it was “an enemy North Korean missile attack” or something just to gloat about getting him

They don’t seem to do tailored clothing in DPRK. They have this really baggy aesthetic to a lot of their fashion.

I think the photos were taken in Korea, they were published by DPRK news, and also this is his private train.
That’s a relief. I was just kinda scared because when a controversial (even if we like him, a lot of other people don’t) figure enters a public space, they usually face a lot of hostilities ranging from protestors to full-blown assassination attempts. But I should be more sure in knowing that Comrade Kim knows this and has plans in place for any perceived hostile reactions to his visit.
