I’m not going to post a link to them because I’m not promoting that shit with a ten foot pole, but they’re those ads where a couple of women are shopping and one of them is like “Hey Gemini, tell me what product to buy!” And the AI scans the shelf of products and says “Sure thing bestie, buy that one because its number one with your favorite influencer!” Or some something like that.

They have this weird dystopian vibe to them too. Are marketers going their way to make AI seem as unappealing and creepy as possible?

I’ve seen one that may have also been for a phone or something where some Young Person says ”Hey Gemini, I need to study for an exam, can you read this material and summarize it for me?” and uses her phone to scan the material or something? Then the AI explains it to a whole crowd of people and they’re able to ask followup questions.

First of all, lol, there’s absolutely no way this works as advertised. Second, there’s no way a scenario where a bunch of students crowd around one phone to study and ask the phone questions has happened or will ever happen.
