People are getting annoyed at my schedule

  • The hours everyone has to live by in a capitalist system aren’t in any way “natural” or “normal”. I had a co-worker who came to work at 6am and left at 2pm, because he was very much a morning person. Your hours are also the ones revered by farmers and others who go out to milk the cows at 5am and the work is done by midday.

I on the other hand have been a complete night owl my whole life and going to bed at 3am would be ideal, but could only ever live like that doing late or night shift work. I am lucky enough to have an office type job where I can start at 9am, but it still wears me out.

    Everyone is different.

I can’t sleep past 6 either, so I’m in bed by 22 most days. It’s normal, but definitely can be annoying. My partner appreciates that I get up and do productive stuff before they are awake at all. Then when I go to bed earlier there’s no fuss about tasks or something

I pretty much always go to sleep around 22 and wake up at 6. This seems like a “normal” schedule to me because a lot of jobs, school, etc start at 8 or 9.

Bed at 20 and up at 4 is probably not that common, but tbh fuck anyone who has a problem with someone else’s sleep schedule.

It’s not as common if that’s what you mean by normal but it’s not unhealthy if it’s what works for you and you feel rested, but yeah if you have roommates or live above someone they might be annoyed if you are making a lot of noise. If it was me being annoyed I wouldn’t be mad at you or anything and would probably get used to it.
