Holy hell Reddit is invasive. Got banned a few years ago. Went to make a new account and within a day it was banned. New email, new computer… how the hell do they have way too much information on you? It’s actually kinda scary how insidious those fuckers are.

100% this. OP went right back in with the same pudgey 4chan frequenter bullshit that got them banned last time, got banned, and is now over here crying about it. What a loser.

Ip bans may not be a thing, but IP reputation absolutely is. Just because you change your public address there is a good chance you will be allocated on in the same block and also get it reallocated back to you in the future.

With CGN being such a big thing in countries exhausting their V4 address space restarting your router may not switch your public address

In 13 years and 47 accounts there, i haven’t had a single ip ban, its a cookie they set and if you use the stupid ass “app” they use the Device ID, other than that they use Google and Appstore verification of some sort (basically the Google/Apple Account is bound to your reddit app and to all accounts you use the app with)

Banned IP for me. I made a lot of throw-away accounts to answer simple questions and most where shadowbanned (maybe because I was using a VPN).
