- Google is rolling out age verification on the Play Store, requiring users to prove they’re 18+.
- Users can verify their age using ID, selfie, credit card, or a third-party service.
- Some users are concerned about data privacy and reports of being locked out after verification.
You must log in or # to comment.
My account is 18+ years old… They can accept that for verification.
I believe Aurora Store is still allowing people to just use it’s service, without biometrics
and you cannot buy an app. you must use play store to do that
O NO
edit: if you’re so far into the google play store that you’re buying apps you are fully inside the GOOG. Embrace it and just give them your face
- If you’re buying an app you’ve given them you credit card and thus don’t need to show your face.
- Stop hating on buying apps, focus your attention to subscriptions.
Do they work with split apps yet?
This is fast becoming a legal requirement. UK already; many states in the US, soon all of the EU. Don’t blame Google on this one, they don’t have a choice.
It would be nice if itch was able to use credit cards too.
