You can absolutely Smurf while discussing things with people who are starting the conversation. Keeping the casual inflection going and not devolving into fact rants makes people eat more receptive.

Also knowing keywords and dropping them in a way that makes people look then up is a good way to have them start building knowledge on their own if they want.

Or you can just start making confident predictions about things and when they come true, explaining to people how you managed to predict that.
