Bad word choice on my part. I guess I meant consequences for Chauvin? Or at least it demonstrated it’s possible to hold cops accountable. Obviously, there’s a lot of murders by police that go unpunished. But the cops who beat up Rodney King, murdered Tamir Rice, murdered Eric Garner, and murdered Philando Castile never saw the inside of a cell. I think Chauvin would have walked if he killed Floyd in 2010 instead of 2020.

They didn’t get any reforms at all. Almost everywhere, police funding went up. Riots are no more effective than peaceful marches.
