Shit like this is just the natural end goal of the “you will own nothing and be happy” ethos that drives late capitalism. The average subject under western capital has no joys in life, no family, no pets, no belongings, they exist wholly as a cog in the machine of production they are alienated from by many, many, degrees. And the right still has the gall to say that communism is like “anti-human” or “anti-family”, it’s amazing.
